PARKINSON’S FOUNDATION: NIGHT AT THE MARKET

Parkinson’s Foundation is jump-starting Miami’s social season with a star-studded culinary fundraiser on WednesdayOctober 232019 from 7PM to 11PM. Night at the Market, taking place at The Lincoln Eatery in Miami Beach, features gourmet cuisine and libations crafted by some of the nation’s top chefs, including the  Food Network’s Aaron Sanchez, and mixologists as they unite to raise funds for research to help the one million Americans living with Parkinson’s. Tickets are available at Parkinson.org/market and are priced at $250 per guestVIP tickets at $500 per guest provide access to exclusive VIP areas, gift bags and meet & greets with the talent. Music will be provided by Private Property Band and DJ Danny Stern and opportunities will be available for bidding in a silent auction.

NOSH FEST

For a decade, Temple Beth Emet has produced Cooper City’s premier food fundraiser. That event, Nosh Fest, returns for a special 10th Anniversary tailgate-themed bacchanalia on Sunday, November 3, 2019 from noon-4PM. Benefitting WeCare Food Pantry; Jupiter Soup Kitchen; and the Cupboard at the Jewish Community Center, the event will be fun for the whole family. The day will be filled with delicious nosh-sized bites from local restaurants and food trucks, live music, children’s activities, games and artisans sharing and selling their creations. Admission to the event is $15 per adult; Children ages 3-12 are $5 per child (receive $5 off the admission price by bringing five non-perishable food items); Children 2 and under are free. noshfest.org

 

SEED FOOD & WINE WEEK

The 6th Annual SEED Food & Wine Week (SEED) returns Thursday, November 7 to Sunday, November 10, 2019. The country’s premier plant-based food and wine festival drew approximately 9,200 attendees in 2018 and this year over 10,000 festival-goers are expected. With the philosophy Eat, Drink, Grow SEED’s mission continues to be centered around how to live consciously – mind, body, and spirit – and more sustainably. Events include the 5th Annual Plant-Based Burger BattleTaco Tailgate; intimate celebrity chef dinners; Festival Day Tasting Village; Blissful Brunch; workshops, speaker panels, cooking demonstrations and much more!

PARTY WITH A PURPOSE

The Big Game is coming to South Florida in 2020, and so is a big party that cannot be missed – Party with a Purpose® by Taste of the NFL (TNFL). TNFL’s annual event traditionally takes place on the eve of the Super Bowl. For its 29th year, it will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 in Fort Lauderdale at the Broward County Convention Center. The evening benefits the fundraising campaign spearheaded by TNFL, aptly named Kick Hunger Challenge (KHC). This friendly “competition” pits fans of all 32 NFL teams against each other to raise money for food banks in NFL communities nationwide.
