Miami has more beach clubs than any one visit can cover, and most of them blur together — daybeds, rosé, a DJ at 4 p.m. These ten don’t. The original. Nikki Beach opened in 1998 at 1 Ocean Drive and set the template every beach club on this list is still riffing on — restaurant, nightclub, and beach in one oceanfront complex. Twenty-five years in the same spot on South Beach is the credential; everything else is programming.

Solei Beach Club

Opened May 2026 at the newly renovated Kimpton Surfcomber, Solei is the newest real challenger to Nikki’s stretch of Collins Avenue — a coastal-Spain menu from executive chef Gastón Javier Sanchez in an 11,500-square-foot, ocean-facing space that seats 75 under a thatched palapa. Order the Seafood Colosseum (oysters, Caribbean lobster, P.E.I. mussels, quahog clams, ceviche, with caviar or stone crab add-ons) for the table, and the frozen Passion Du Solei — built on the hotel’s private Bhakta blend — at the bar. Open daily, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., bar until 6.

Baia Beach Club

Baia sits inside the reimagined Mondrian South Beach, on Biscayne Bay rather than the ocean — which means direct marina access and bay views instead of Atlantic surf. The Mediterranean menu leans local-sourced and health-forward. Go here for the bay-side angle nothing else on this list has.

Tala Beach Club

A Tulum-inspired build at The 1 Hotel — daybeds, natural materials, a wellness-and-movement programming layer most beach clubs skip entirely. The sea-to-table restaurant, Wave, fuses Mediterranean and Latin flavors across a 50,000-square-foot space with a full restaurant and a separate beachfront bar. Book this one if you want programming beyond drinking and tanning.

Joia Beach

Miami’s Social Resort, on Watson Island next to Jungle Island — a 150-seat waterfront restaurant and lounge built for a day-to-night pace rather than a single sitting. Designer Francois Frossard’s Mykonos-meets-Tulum build includes woven daybeds and palm-fronded lamps; guests swim, paddleboard, or anchor a boat offshore between courses. The kitchen runs Mediterranean: arugula and citrus salad with Tulum cheese, Tasmanian trout crudo, Spanish boquerones, Turkish grilled octopus. Members-only beach and two pools at the historic Sovereign hotel site, with one exception: Cecconi’s, the ground-floor restaurant, is open to non-members. The move here if you’re not a member: book Cecconi’s and treat the beach as a bonus you can see but not use.

The Savoy Beach Club

Two pools, a private beachfront, and Day Passes sold at the front desk for non-hotel guests — one of the few clubs on this list that doesn’t require a room or a membership to get in. The Sandbar kitchen runs Asian and international fusion bites poolside.

DiLido Beach Club

Inside the Ritz-Carlton on Lincoln Road, DiLido runs an all-day lunch menu across Spanish, French, and Greek influences, with a bar program built around spirulina, turmeric, and acai. The Mediterranean-and-North-African “Sun Cuisine” framing and the specialty sangria list are the reasons to pick this over the Ritz’s pool.

The Bentley Beach Club

Membership-based, at the Hilton Bentley on the southern tip of Ocean Drive in SoFi — the quietest stretch of beach on this list, by design. No nightlife angle here; it’s a year-round loungers-and-ocean club for people who’ve already decided SoFi over South Beach proper.

Shelborne Beach Club

A 1940 Art Deco building with water-sport rentals — waverunners, parasailing, paddleboards — through Boucher Brothers, plus a beachfront cocktail stop at Oasis Cafe. The pick here if the point of your day is doing something in the water, not just next to it.

Shelborne South Beach – 1801 Collins Ave., Miami Beach

The Setai Beach Club

Best for: quiet, adults-only calm on South Beach. No DJ, no daybed-to-daybed shouting — The Setai runs a minimalist, Asian-inspired build with well-spaced daybeds and a service style built around privacy rather than scene. This is the pick when the assignment is “somewhere to actually relax,” not “somewhere to be seen.”

The Surf Club

Best for: old-school elegance and pedigree. The Four Seasons at Surfside runs this 1930s landmark that once hosted Frank Sinatra and Winston Churchill — oceanfront service with none of South Beach’s volume, and a dining program from Thomas Keller on-site. Go here for history and restraint over nightlife.

The Palms Hotel & Spa

Best for: a full day on the sand with zero planning. Beach attendants set up loungers and umbrellas and run food and drink orders beachside; back from the sand, the property’s gardens add a heated pool, a Zen garden with hammocks and a meditation circle, tiki cabanas, and a poolside Tiki Bar. The pick for a stay-put day rather than a club-hop.

The Palms Hotel & Spa – 3025 Collins Ave., Miami Beach
