It’s with a full heart that The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) launches its fifth Miami Romance Month (February 1 – 28) this Valentine’s season. Sponsored by MasterCard Priceless Miami, Romance Month gives visitors and locals with amour on their mind the opportunity to take advantage of an unprecedented amount of deals, events and promotions. From planning first dates to saying “I do’s,” the GMCVB’s dedicated website, www.MiamiRomanceMonth.com, provides a comprehensive guide to the destination and calendar of events to make organizing easier and more affordable.
This month’s line-up of romantic offerings includes:
Date Night with Top Talent:
Kicking off Miami Romance Month, the GMCVB and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County have partnered with Y100 radio to give away tickets to shows all month long. Tune in and register at Y100.com for the opportunity to see performances by The Piano Guys, Newsie’s, Tony Bennett, Les Ballet Trochadero and Contra Tiempo.
Marry Me in Miami:
Celebrating love and equality, now that the ban on same-sex couple marriage is lifted in the state of Florida, the GMCVB and The Biltmore Hotel are awarding a wedding package to one lucky couple. Beginning February 2, the Visit Miami LGBT Facebook page www.facebook.com/visitmiamiLGBT will host a Marry Me in Miami contest. Couples ready to tie the knot can simply click on the Marry Me in Miami Contest tab and enter to win a wedding to take place on Labor Day Weekend. Couples who submit a photo along with a short story of why they deserve this 80 person wedding package will be entered to win!
Calling all Couples:
The GMCVB and The Conrad Miami Hotel are running a sweepstakes where one deserving duo will win a most romantic vacation to Greater Miami and The Beaches including roundtrip airfare, a four night stay at Conrad Miami, dinner at Atrio restaurant, a couple’s massage and more. From February 2 – 27, 2015 enter to win at Visit Miami’s Facebook page – www.facebook.com/visitmiami.
Calling all Brides and Grooms to Be:
Once again, the annual It’s So Miami Wedding Showcase (hosted at the Coral Gables Country Club on February 24, 2015 from 5:30-8:30 p.m.), will be an informative and fun-filled evening for couples considering a destination wedding. From delicious sweets and savory samples, to top tips from premier local wedding planners, designers, florists and caterers, having a wedding in Greater Miami could go from dream to reality. Attendees will also have the chance to win a cruise for two on the MSC Divina departing from PortMiami. Registration is available at www.MiamiRomanceMonth.com.
“As our overall visitor numbers continue to increase, we’re seeing more couples make their way to Greater Miami and The Beaches for romance inspired milestones. From a couple’s first trip to engagement proposals, weddings, honeymoons and anniversaries, our tropical cosmopolitan destination sets the ideal backdrop,” says GMCVB President and CEO William D. Talbert, III, CDME. “And, as the destination experiences tremendous growth boasting more world class hotels, restaurants, cultural attractions, new and heritage neighborhoods, there is something that caters to everyone’s individual tastes. As much of the country cools off this time of year, things here really heat up during Miami Romance Month.”
