RIMOWA X TYPOE

RIMOWA is thrilled to announce their partnership with local Miami artist, Typoe, who created a custom chandelier-inspired art piece that is permanently displayed in their newly renovated Miami Design District store, now open to the public. The piece showcases a striking exploding sculpture frozen in time which features bright colors, abstract shapes and RIMOWA’s iconic aluminum grooves.

The Typoe for RIMOWA art piece features basic building block shapes representing how we are building the world around us, while keeping childlike wonder in mind. His piece incorporates RIMOWA’s raw silver aluminum grooved sheets in contrast to his color block shapes and Miami-inspired vibrant color palette.

For the week of December 4th, in honor of Miami Art Basel 2023, RIMOWA will partner with Typoe again to reveal a new custom eye-catching window display that beautifully complements his permanent art piece. The window display is a larger-than-life continuation of the shapes and colors from his chandelier-like artpiece, playfully stacked on one another as if they fell from the above installation. RIMOWA’s iconic aluminum suitcases are also integrated beautifully into his custom window display art piece.

To celebrate the partnership, Typoe created a limited-edition “Typoe for RIMOWA” Miami sticker pack, featuring sticker designs drawn from his art piece. The stickers will be complimentary at RIMOWA Design District Store, allowing guests to reimagine Typoe’s artwork on their own personal suitcases.
