The Juneteenth Experience is a groundbreaking annual celebration of our country’s national holiday, Juneteenth. The cast and creative team are helmed by Hued Songs’ Executive Artistic Director Kunya Rowley, and include an array of local and international talents including leading vocalists and an incredible band under the direction of Musical Director King Friday; dance from Zest Collective under the direction of Gentry George; original text and poetry by Arsimmer McCoy and creative producer Miriam King; and set projections and digital scenes rendered by Bajan artist and creative Russell Watson.
Part 1 of the evening will include the screenings of short films by talented local filmmakers delving into themes of Black liberation and Belonging. The main event will be a riveting interdisciplinary performance seamlessly melding spoken word, dance, music, and multimedia elements, promising an unforgettable 60-minute journey. ⚽️ June 23 – 29: CONMEBOL Copa America
CONMEBOL Copa America, the world’s oldest international soccer tournament, is coming to Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens for two group matches and the championship game. On June 23, 15-time Copa America champion Uruguay will take on Panama in a Group C match. On June 29, Argentina will play Peru in a Group A match. The final will be played at Hard Rock Stadium on July 14.

🎷 June 28: South Beach Jazz Festival Summer Series
The South Beach Jazz Festival Summer Series celebrates local favorites and award-winning students throughout Miami Beach, from Lincoln Road to Collins Park to the Normandy Fountain. Gear up for some sunshine! Miami in June 2024 is expected to be hot and humid with average highs around 30°C (86°F) and plenty of sunshine. Expect around 10 hours of sunlight a day, perfect for hitting the beach. Be prepared for some rain showers though, with an average of 16 rainy days throughout the month. Don’t forget your swimsuit, sunscreen, and maybe an umbrella for those afternoon pop-up showers! Just remember, June also marks the start of hurricane season in the Atlantic, so staying weather-aware is important.
