This year’s fair accounts for the largest amount of prize money ever to be awarded, totaling a value of over $150,000, with numerous new and returning partners who further the fair’s mission to support the broader art market through an enhanced focus on diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility.  A total of nine prizes will be awarded in 2023 – more than any other fair in Miami – as part of Untitled Art’s commitment to nurturing opportunities for its exhibiting artists, galleries and non-profit organizations.

Excitingly, Resy joins Untitled this year as a new Official Partner to present an exclusive lounge experience with lite bites curated by Resy Chef, Stephanie Izard, a James Beard Award and Top Chef winner.

Additional new partners to the 2023 edition include:

  • The NXTHVN Visiting Artist Prize | New to the 2023 roster of Untitled Art Prize Partners, NXTHVN is a national arts model that empowers artists, curators, and the community through education and access to a vibrant ecosystem. The newly established NXTHVN Visiting Artist Prize will be awarded to an artist exhibiting at Untitled Art, Miami Beach 2023, framed under the fair’s 2023 thematic focus “Gender Equality in The Arts.” The prize will provide an exhibition and two-month-long residency at NXTHVN’s facility in New Haven, CT, with a stipend of $15,000 USD and accommodation. Untitled Art will host a weekend event in October 2024 to coincide with the residency as part of its new series of activations outside Miami Art Week. NXTHVN will also participate in Untitled Art through a panel discussion and via the fair’s ‘Nest’ sector.

  • The ‘Nest’ Prize by Platform | Platform, the first digital collecting platform of its kind launched in partnership with David Zwirner, comes aboard this year as a Prize Partner to support the ‘Nest’ Prize by Platform. The eponymous $5,000 prize covers the booth cost for the exhibitor with the best presentation within Untitled Art’s specially subsidized sector designed for emerging galleries. In celebration of the partnership and both curatorial themes celebrating digital innovation and gender equality, Platform will also curate a digital booth of collectable work predominantly by female-identifying artists via Vortic, the fair’s Digital Partner, with the works available for purchase on Platform’s website.

  • Rado Production Prize | In addition to being one of Untitled Art, Miami Beach 2023’s Official Partners, Rado has established a seating-design competition for one of the fair’s interstitial spaces, which has traditionally featured artist-conceptualized seating as part of the fair’s Special Projects. Open to a specially selected list of artists by Untitled Art’s curatorial team with jury inclusion of Rado, the Rado Production Prize will offer a $5,000 USD production budget to realize the awarded artist’s proposal. Rado is known as the Master of Materials: from high-tech ceramic to sapphire crystal and diamonds to stainless steel, their innovative watches have no boundaries when it comes to design.

  • Her Clique Womxn Prize | In honor of the fair’s 2023 curatorial focus, “Gender Equality in the Arts,” Untitled Art welcomes back Her Clique with its inaugural Her Clique Womxn Prize, awarded to an exhibitor with the best booth presenting exclusively female-identifying or non-binary artists. The winning gallery will receive a cash prize of $7,000 USD and will be selected by a jury comprised of the Her Clique team, the Untitled Art Ambassadors Committee, and the fair’s curatorial team. The prize furthers Her Clique’s mission as a New York-based curated platform for specially commissioned artworks created by women-identifying and non-binary artists, with all profits donated to charity. Proceeds from sales at Untitled Art will be donated to Planned Parenthood, with Her Clique also participating in a panel discussion at the fair and as part of the Special Projects sector.
