Paradox Miami, the ultimate interactive indoor experience, located in the heart of Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood, has announced an ongoing collaboration and partnership with Breakthrough Miami, an academic enrichment program that uses a student-teaching-students model to ensure that motivated, under-resourced 5th – 12th grade students have access to excellent educational opportunities, graduate from high school on time, and attend college. Paradox, known for its enriching, entertaining and educational components will now be engaging Breakthrough’s seventh grade Scholars with hands-on field experiences at Paradox aligned with their STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) curricular focus.

“An opportunity generator for 32 years in this community, Breakthrough Miami is founded upon partnerships,” said Lori-Ann M. Cox, Chief Executive Officer of Breakthrough. “We‘re excited to ignite a lasting collaboration with the Paradox Museum, which provides the opportunity to meaningfully expose and engage our Scholars with the museum’s extensive educational resources and interactive exhibits, advancing our 7th grade STEM curriculum.”

Breakthrough Miami uses a unique “students-teaching-students” model to create a rigorous, vibrant learning community, where highly motivated, traditionally underrepresented 5th-12th grade students are

supported to achieve post-secondary success and emerging leaders are inspired to become the next generation of educators and advocates. Recruited in the 4th grade, Breakthrough Scholars begin the program in the summer before 5th grade and are served through graduation from high school and then welcomed to the Alumni Network. Breakthrough Miami serves 1,500 5th-12th grade Scholars year-round at seven year-round community campus sites. Breakthrough addresses the experiences, rigor, access and networks that define the opportunity gap, quietly but powerfully advancing more resourced youth, resulting in disparate high school and graduation completion rates and unrealized potential among traditionally marginalized students. Breakthrough impacts more than 2,000 youth annually, reaching students from 150 zip codes and 320 schools. Committed to leveling the playing field, Breakthrough is closing the opportunity gap, generating social mobility, nurturing self-actualization, and promoting an inclusive and engaged community. In 2023, Breakthrough was selected and recognized as The Children’s Trust Program of the Year and 2023 Volunteer Florida Program of the Year. In 2021 and 2022 Breakthrough Miami was awarded South Florida’s only Inspire Change Social Justice grant by the National Football League, among many other accolades.

This marks the first of many successful collaborations between its community and Paradox. With such growth in the U.S., their Las Vegas and Miami locations have resulted in Paradox continuing to expand nationally with a location coming soon in Chicago. The concept has continued to grow and has locations all around the globe, with locations in Paris, Barcelona, Stockholm and will be soon coming to London and Shanghai. The family-friendly activation site unites everyone looking to include some education, entertainment, and everything in between. Paradox is open for private events and buyouts. Events include networking events, private events, business meetings, product launches, full buyouts and more.

“We are very happy to be partnering with Breakthrough Miami on events and philanthropic initiatives to help under-resourced children unleash their true potential,” said U.S Partner, Pierre Charalambides. “Our Paradox Miami venue offers a unique educational and interactive entertainment experience for children of all ages and, like Breakthrough, we enjoy the great relationships we have developed with all the schools participating in their programs.”
