On Monday, January 1, cure your NYE hangover at The Balfour Hotel with a Detox & Flow brunch event with fitness programming and IV hydration therapy. The special brunch menu, curated by Executive Chef Antony Awak, will be available from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on New Year’s Day. Options include Tuna Toast ($21), made with raw tuna, sesame seeds, yuzu on multigrain toast; Chia Protein Pancakes ($18), topped with sugar-free maple syrup, fresh berries and organic Greek yogurt; and a Quinoa Bowl ($17), with fresh avocado, cucumber, green onion and cherry tomatoes on a bed of watercress;  Watermelon Salad ($18), tossed with watercress, alfalfa sprouts, pepita seeds and spinach dressing; and a Yogurt Parfait ($15), with organic Greek yogurt, sugar-free homemade granola and fresh berries. The menu also includes a selection of green juices and wellness shots. IV Hydration therapy will be available and Viva Move will also lead a 50-minute yoga flow session for $25 per person, which includes entry to the class and access to all hotel amenities (pool/beach chair service, bikes and 40% off food & beverage).

 

Italica Midtown

At Italica Midtown, the party doesn’t stop on New Year’s Eve! On January 1, dive into Italica’s all-day Holiday Brunch (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) with indulgent dishes like the hearty Buongiorno ($8), a delightful combination of mascarpone cheese, house marmalade, Nutella and pistachio on toasted sourdough; Italica French Toast ($13), featuring grilled brioche bread topped with bananas, Nutella and pistachio; and Toast All’Avocado ($13), made with smashed avocado and scrambled eggs on toasted sourdough bread. On January 1 from noon to 4 p.m., indulge in Negroni’s Lunch Lovers prix-fixe lunch menu. This decadent yet wallet-friendly lunch includes one entrée and one soda, broken down by tier. The Classic tier ($16)  includes the Oriental Wok ($16), featuring stir-fried rice with chicken breast and mixed vegetables tossed in an Oriental sauce (also available in a vegetarian option). The Premium tier ($18) features a hangover-busting Truffle Gnocchi, featuring Asiago cheese-stuffed potato gnocchi tossed in a truffled mushroom sauce. The Negroni ($18) tier offers a flavorful Miso Salmon seared with panca sauce, quinoa and sautéed vegetables. Not feeling a soda pairing? Drink upgrades are available: $2 extra for a coffee, espresso, macchiato or Americano and $6 extra for a glass of wine (Obra Prima rosé, Finca del Inca malbec or chardonnay) or bottled beer (Peroni, Corona or Lagunitas). Bring your furry friend to relax on the outdoor patio, or check out the elegant indoor bar, an urban choice in the high-ceiling dining room, which serves deliciously crafted cocktails and homemade negronis, spritzes and tonics.
