Taking charge of the property’s food & drink operations is none other than Bar Lab, the trend-setting culinary and cocktail collective helmed by Gabe Orta and Elad Zvi. Renowned for their work in Magic City and beyond, for the Arlo collaboration, Bar Lab has teamed up with award-winning Miami Chef/Partner Brad Kilgore to develop and operate the signature restaurant at the all-new, nine-story hotel in Miami’s preeminent creative and cultural district. Additional food & beverage outlets will include a cocktail-centric third-floor lounge, as well as a bustling rooftop deck.
Life House, South of Fifth
Life House, South of Fifth opened in May 2022 as the latest addition to the Life House portfolio of historical hotels built for the modern traveler. In the 1920a, Miami Beach;s first commercial strip, Española Way, became an artists’ colony that attracted creative types seeking life by the sea. This wave brought in an artist who discovered a unique Tudor home in the South of Fifth neighborhood that has now been transformed into the beautiful property it is today.
Loews Coral Gables Hotel
Loews Coral Gables Hotel is set to open this November as the Loews Hotel’s newest property. Located in the heart of The Plaza Coral Gables, the hotel offers a new level of hospitality just four blocks from the Gables’ iconic Miracle Mile. Featuring 242 guestrooms with a modern design, luxury amenities, spa, fitness center and a rooftop pool, guests can enjoy curated sips and bites in four restaurants and lounges: The Americana Kitchen, The Americana bar, Miami Joe Coffee Co. and Phineas, the 9th floor outdoor rooftop lounge.
The Elser Hotel
The Elser Hotel & Residences Miami is set to open in November in Downtown, Miami. The Elser Hotel & Residences Miami would be the only existing inventory in Miami with a short-term rental program professionally managed by a five-star operator. The building would allow daily rentals with no restrictions.
The Mayfair House Hotel & Garden
The Mayfair House Hotel & Garden reopened this late summer. The hotel was an instant hit when it first opened in bohemian Coconut Grove in 1985 and was then referred to as The Mayfair Hotel & Spa. The hotel will feature two brand new dining experiences by local favorite Lost Boy & Co., curated from local and international artists, and an oasis that fuses both the glamour and sophistication of the hotel’s iconic past with the vibrant, free-spirited heart of its Coconut Grove neighborhood.
Grand Hyatt Miami Beach Convention Center Hotel
Grand Hyatt Miami Beach Convention Center Hotel is set to begin construction this fall 2022. Designed by Arquitectonica, the 800-room hotel will enhance Miami Beach’s Convention Center District with new public spaces, improved connectivity, and privately funded infrastructure and resiliency upgrades. The project will create an estimated 1,909 on-site construction jobs, 724 full-time jobs, and 225 indirect jobs.
