“Art After Dark at COTE Miami”

From Thursday, December 7 – Sunday, December 17, renowned private collectors including Amanita, Artline, Craig Robins, Henry Buhl, John Marquez, Miyoung Lee, and Reilly Opelka, will reunite to showcase their world-class pieces at MICHELIN-starred and James Beard-nominated COTE Miami. In partnership with Artline, a public art project consulting firm based in NYC, and presented by American Express, guests will have the opportunity to view private art (not typically available to the public) and learn about the collectors and their vision and personal stories while indulging in a specially curated Art After Dark Feast offering available from December 8 – December 10. This year’s theme, “Relationships,” offers works curated by COTE owner Simon Kim, Rosa Sue Kim and Ji Park of Artline. COTE Miami is taking a deeper look at what brings us together, transcending our differences, and intrinsically embracing a more inclusive and diverse world through art and food.

Mandarin Oriental, Miami Partners With Art Angels And Artist Christopher “Flore” Florentino

As leading global galleries show contemporary art around the city, Mandarin Oriental, Miami is thrilled to once again be partnering with Los Angeles-based Art Angels Gallery for Art Week. This year, they’re spotlighting artist Christopher “Flore” Florentino, an artist of the new school, as the hotel transforms into a gallery with an exhibition of his vibrant paintings. Entitled “Best In Show”, they merge street art influences and fine art technique. Flore’s work – including pieces created exclusively for the hotel and La Mar by Gastón Acurio – will be highlighted throughout the property with several works available to purchase. At the hotel’s grand entrance, guests will be greeted with a photo opportunity thanks to Flore’s large-scale “Ron Burgundy” custom vinyl piece. Upon entering La Mar by Gastón Acurio, the cosmopolitan home of Peruvian gastronomy which has established itself as one of Miami’s most thrilling dining destinations, guests can feast their eyes on Flore’s masterpiece titled “Love, Light and Peace.” Once inside the MICHELIN recommended restaurant, they’ll be engulfed in Flore’s unique paintings and diptych, including the “Radiant Child.” In true synchronicity of the decorative and culinary arts, guests will enjoy Executive Chef Diego Oka’s special dishes inspired by Flore’s works. Additionally, along with MO Bar + Lounge’s bartenders, Flore has conceptualized special signature cocktails available to guests dining in Miami’s most glamorous hotel bar. Sushi | Bar Miami Beach x Sara Schroeder Art Week Collaboration

Sushi | Bar Miami Beach is collaborating with emerging Miami-based abstract painter and mixed media artist Sara Schroeder for a special collaboration during Miami Art Week. Schroeder’s vivid and emotive portfolio of work translates to that of Sushi | Bar’s vibrant flavors and textures when it comes to the 17-course omakase experience. Starting December 4th through December 10th, guests will have the opportunity to try the limited-time-only collaboration dessert between the restaurant and the artist, which is a deconstructed interpretation of Sushi |Bar’s existing dessert inspired by Schroder’s artwork titled “Pulp and Panel Poesie”. The exclusive dessert features Aubi & Ramsa Signature Sushi | Bar Ice Cream, Dulche de Leche Sponge Cake, Dulce de Leche Cracker, Strawberry Coulis, Toasted Coconut, Coconut Meringue, Matcha Mushroom Salt, Meyer Lemon Emulsion, Edible Flowers, and Fresh Strawberries. Guests will also receive a limited edition print of the artwork numbered and signed by the artist, in addition to Schroeder’s artwork to be on display at the restaurant and available for purchase with a portion of the sales to be donated to Feeding South Florida.
