Where to Stay in Miami for the FIFA World Cup 2026™ — By Neighborhood

Here’s the thing most travel sites won’t tell you: Hard Rock Stadium is in Miami Gardens — not South Beach, not Brickell, not Wynwood. It’s about 20 miles north of downtown Miami and South Beach, so where you stay has a direct impact on how easy matchdays feel.

That means every hotel decision is really a tradeoff: convenience to the stadium vs. access to the Miami you actually want to experience. Miami is a car-dependent city and there is no direct public transit route from most visitor areas to Hard Rock Stadium. Rideshares will surge on match days. Traffic on I-95 is not forgiving in July.

This is the neighborhood-by-neighborhood breakdown — honest about logistics, specific about hotels, written by someone who actually lives here.

Book now. Prices are already climbing and the best properties at fair rates are gone or going fast.

? Hollywood & Aventura — The Hidden Sweet Spot

Verdict: Beach access, better stadium logistics, and lower rates than South Beach. The underrated pick.

Sitting between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood and Aventura give you beachfront options without the full South Beach premium — and a noticeably shorter, less congested drive to Hard Rock Stadium.

Best Hotels in Hollywood & Aventura

Signia by Hilton Diplomat Beach Resort — 3555 S. Ocean Dr., Hollywood

One of South Florida’s most iconic beachfront resorts just completed an $80 million transformation and officially relaunched as Signia by Hilton on May 1, 2026. The 1,000-room property now features a redesigned lobby, six updated dining and bar concepts including Diplomat Prime steakhouse, the adults-only Solara infinity pool at the Verandah Social Club, Club Signia on the 33rd floor, and a Diplomat Spa + Salon. For World Cup visitors, it sits about 30 minutes from Hard Rock Stadium — with less I-95 congestion than coming from South Beach — and offers 600 feet of Atlantic beachfront to decompress between matches. One of the best-value luxury plays in the region for the tournament.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood — 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood

An Official Miami World Cup 2026™ Host City Supporter and the most entertainment-complete property in South Florida. Throughout the tournament, the Seminole Hard Rock will host a curated lineup of World Cup-themed events, live performances, and fan programming at Hard Rock Live — including a World Cup Kickoff Pool Party on June 25 featuring Colombian singer Jessi Uribe. The property is also part of the Miami Host Committee’s expanded shuttle network, with enhanced transportation access to Miami Stadium on match days. Gaming floor, multiple pools, award-winning dining, and nightlife at DAER Nightclub and Dayclub — the full package under one roof, about 20 minutes from the stadium.

JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa — Aventura

Luxury resort with full spa and championship golf, about 8 miles from the stadium. A strong choice for travelers who want upscale amenities, Aventura’s retail and dining scene nearby, and easy Brightline access for match days.

Getting to the Stadium from Hollywood & Aventura

The Brightline train stops at Aventura — take it to the Hard Rock Stadium Connect shuttle, which departs about 10 minutes after trains pull in. This is the cleanest match-day transit option in South Florida, full stop.

? Brickell & Downtown — The Smart Base

Verdict: The best all-around choice for most World Cup visitors.

Brickell offers good value compared to South Beach and this is where Miami’s cosmopolitan football atmosphere will be strongest during the tournament. You’re steps from the free FIFA Fan Festival at Bayfront Park, surrounded by world-class restaurants and bars, on the Metrorail, and a manageable 25–35 minutes from the stadium on non-match days.

The caveat: on match nights, pre-book your transport. Rideshares from Brickell will surge.

Best Hotels in Brickell & Downtown

EAST Miami

The top insider pick. Rooftop pool, Sugar bar on the 40th floor, Brickell City Centre attached. Modern luxury without the South Beach price premium. Walking distance to Bayfront Park fan fest. With 4 pools, an on-site restaurant, and a 24-hour fitness center, there’s something for everyone at EAST, Miami. The hotel has 352-rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows featuring breathtaking views of surrounding Brickell. Upstairs, there’s a series of pools and the rooftop Sugar lounge for Asian-style tapas and cocktails. Located in Brickell City Centre, EAST, Miami offers premium retail shops, a movie theater, restaurants & bars, spas, and more.

Getting to the Stadium from Brickell

Metrorail to Earlington Heights, then Metrobus Route 297 for around $2.25 each way. Or pre-book a car service — don’t rely on rideshare on match nights.

?️ South Beach — The Full Miami Experience

Verdict: Worth it if you’re here for Miami as much as the World Cup.

South Beach is where you want to be if you’re in Miami for the World Cup experience as much as the games. The Art Deco architecture, Ocean Drive, the rooftop bars — this is the Miami that everyone pictures.

The tradeoff is real: Miami Beach hotels are typically 16–19 miles from Hard Rock Stadium, which translates to a 28–35 minute drive under normal conditions. On match days, budget 50–85 minutes. Pre-book private transfers for game days. Do not rely on Uber on match nights from South Beach.

New Miami Hotels

? Wynwood & Midtown — The Local Pick

Verdict: Best value for people who want Miami culture over hotel amenity packages.

Wynwood is Miami’s art district — murals, independent restaurants, strong nightlife. Better hotel prices than South Beach, between Downtown and the airport, and around 25–35 minutes from the stadium. This is where the World Cup watch party scene will be most alive on non-match days — Grails, Throw Social, Canta Corazón, Veza Sur. You can walk to most of it.

The hotel scene here is smaller — Arlo Wynwood is the standout — but short-term rentals and Airbnbs in Wynwood are often the better call for groups wanting to be in the neighborhood without overpaying.

? Near the Stadium — Miami Gardens & Aventura

Verdict: For fans who are here to watch football, not vacation.

Stadium Hotel is the only hotel within walking distance of Hard Rock Stadium. Courtyard by Marriott Miami Lakes and Shula’s Hotel & Golf Club are comfortable options with good access and lower prices than South Beach for equivalent quality. Hilton Aventura is one of the most practical bases for match days.

The Brightline train stops at Aventura — take it to the Hard Rock Stadium Connect shuttle and skip the traffic entirely. The shuttle departs about 10 minutes after trains pull in. Aventura Mall is steps away for between-match downtime.

This is the right call if you’re attending multiple matches and want match-day logistics to be effortless. It’s the wrong call if you want to actually experience Miami.

? Bal Harbour & Surfside — Quiet Luxury

Verdict: For couples and premium travelers who want the beach without South Beach chaos.

St. Regis Bal Harbour offers a quieter, more exclusive experience with a shorter, more predictable drive to Hard Rock Stadium — around 14 miles, 40–65 minutes on match days. The Four Seasons Surf Club in Surfside is a similar story: oceanfront, three pools, calm energy, and a concierge that can arrange stadium transfers. The fan energy here will be minimal. That’s the point.

? Getting to Hard Rock Stadium: What You Need to Know

Regardless of where you stay, these logistics apply to everyone:

  • Stadium parking is sold out. Pre-book or don’t drive.
  • Brightline + shuttle from Aventura is the cleanest option. Take the train, catch the Hard Rock Stadium Connect shuttle — departs about 10 minutes after trains pull in.
  • Metrorail + bus from Brickell or Downtown: Green Line to Earlington Heights, then Metrobus Route 297 directly to the stadium. Around $2.25 each way.
  • Rideshare will work but will surge. Budget $40–$80+ from South Beach on match nights.
  • Pre-booked car service is worth it for groups of 3+. Split the cost, skip the chaos.
  • Heat: All evening kickoffs in June and July will still be hot and humid — expect 85–90°F even at 7 PM. Hydrate before you leave your hotel.

The Bottom Line

If you’re trying to do Miami and the World Cup: Brickell or South Beach. Brickell if you want balance and logistics. South Beach if you want the full experience and don’t mind the commute.

If you’re here specifically for the football: Aventura or Miami Gardens. Close to the stadium, easy logistics, better rates.

Whatever you pick — book now. This is not a tournament where you figure out accommodation two weeks out.

Miami’s first World Cup match is June 15. The Bronze Final is July 18.
