Miami Guide Take
Wine bars can take themselves a little too seriously. Magie doesn’t.
Pour your own glass, grab a seat wherever you find one, and stay as long as you want. No reservations. No table service. No pressure to know the difference between Burgundy and Barolo. Just shelves lined with bottles from Spain, Portugal, Greece, and beyond, plus a crowd that comes for one glass and usually ends up ordering another.
On Fridays and Saturdays, both locations stay open until 2 a.m., making Magie one of the few places in Miami where the night feels just as good after dinner as it does before.
Magie sits somewhere between a neighborhood wine shop and a late-night hangout. You browse the bottles yourself, pick what catches your eye, and the team pours your glass. If you find something you love, take the bottle home.
Chef Ivan Barros keeps the food simple but thoughtful. Expect elevated bar snacks designed to share rather than full dinners, making it easy to order another glass without committing to a long meal.
Every week looks a little different. Wine tastings, guest pop-ups, themed nights, and rotating specials give regulars a reason to keep coming back. Add a soundtrack that leans toward European hip-hop instead of the usual lounge playlist, and the room builds energy naturally as the evening goes on.
The two locations each have their own personality. Little River feels industrial, creative, and tucked into one of Miami’s fastest-growing neighborhoods. Coconut Grove brings the same easygoing atmosphere to Main Highway, making it an ideal stop before—or after—exploring the Grove.
If you’re looking for velvet ropes or bottle presentations, this isn’t it. If you’re looking for a place where you can discover a new favorite wine without anyone making it feel intimidating, Magie gets it right.
Know before you go
Both locations are first come, first served with no reservations or cover charge. Arrive early if you want a patio table on weekends, or lean into the lively atmosphere later in the evening when the music turns up and the crowd settles in.
