Untitled Art, Miami Beach: What to Know Before You Go

Untitled Art

Of all the fairs that take over Miami each December, Untitled Art is the one that feels the most like Miami. It’s set up in big tents right on the sand at Ocean Drive and 12th Street, and it leans into discovery — emerging galleries, younger artists, work you won’t see inside the Convention Center. If Art Basel is the main stage, Untitled is the beach party where you actually find something new.

The basics

Untitled Art runs every year during Miami Art Week, typically across the first week of December, in oceanfront tents at Ocean Drive and 12th Street in Miami Beach. Tickets are sold through the fair’s official site, with a VIP and press preview day before public hours open.

What sets it apart from the bigger fairs is the curatorial structure. Instead of one undifferentiated floor, the fair is organized into five sectors, which makes it easier to navigate and harder to get lost in the noise.

The five sectors

  • Main — the anchor: an international selection of gallery presentations.
  • Artist Spotlight — curated solo and duo presentations; led by a guest curator each year.
  • Nest — the discovery zone for emerging galleries, experimental practices, and new exhibitors, with a guest curator.
  • Non-Profit — a partially subsidized sector giving non-profit arts organizations a fundraising and community-engagement platform.
  • Special Projects — ambitious large-scale projects organized around an annual curatorial theme, led by a guest curator.

This year’s edition (2026)

Untitled Art returns to its oceanfront location December 2–6, 2026 for its 15th edition, with a VIP and press preview on Tuesday, December 1.

This year’s fair brings together 166 galleries and non-profit organizations from 36 countries and territories, with 52 first-time exhibitors. New names include Catharine Clark Gallery (San Francisco), Inman Gallery (Houston), Mitre (São Paulo), DADA Gallery (Lagos), LOBSTER CLUB (Los Angeles), Double V Gallery (Marseille), Richard Saltoun Gallery (London/Rome/New York), guadalajara90210 (Mexico City/Guadalajara), and QUEUE Gallery (Miami). Returning galleries include Carl Freedman Gallery, LUCE GALLERY, WHATIFTHEWORLD, CARVALHO, Henrique Faria, HARPER’S, Jecza Gallery, Superposition, and TERN.

Guest curators this year: Agustina Ferreyra (Artist Spotlight — 18 artists exploring “futures” and the uncertainties of the present), Willem Molesworth (Nest — 28 galleries with a focus on collaboration and East Asia), and Damîen Dakota (Special Projects — work engaging with the notion of cognitive dissonance). The Non-Profit sector returns for its second iteration with 8 organizations, including Miami’s own Oolite Arts and Dimensions Variable.

“This edition reflects the deep relationships we’ve built with galleries and artists, collectors, curators and institutions, and the broader art community,” says Clara Andrade Pereira, the fair’s Executive Director. “From established international voices to promising young talent, our goal is to always expand the possibilities of the art fair model.”

Official partners for 2026 include J.P. Morgan and Champagne Pommery.

Note: Untitled Art also runs a Houston edition — Untitled Art, Houston takes place October 2–4, 2026 at the George R. Brown Convention Center, with 26 galleries participating in both editions.

Tips for going

  • Wear the right shoes. It’s literally on the sand. Heels are a mistake you’ll regret by the second tent.
  • Go early. Public days get crowded by mid-afternoon; mornings are calmer and the light on the beach is better.
  • Don’t skip Nest. It’s the discovery sector — the whole point of coming here instead of just Basel.
  • Pair it with InScope. InScope is a short walk down Ocean Drive at 8th Street, and the two make a natural half-day circuit.
  • Eat before you go. The tent food is fine; a proper lunch on Ocean Drive or Lincoln Road first is better.
