The Art Plug proudly announces that their experiential art exhibition, The Art Plug Powerhouse, will return during Miami Art Week 2022 with a four-day event that will take over the city’s beloved waterfront hotspot, The Wharf Miami, from Dec. 1-4. Curated by founder Marcel Katz, also known as The Art Plug, and Meyehm Lauren, “The Art Plug Powerhouse: Myami Edition,” features over 25 local and international artists. Known for bringing together art with mind-bending live performance, the exhibition will celebrate the diversity and unique spirit of Miami through physical and digital works with a variety of nostalgic activities, as well as VIP experiences for communities such as Web3 enthusiasts, art collectors and families.

 

Guests are welcome to join the media and preview event on Thursday, Dec. 1 from 4 p.m. to midnight. Doors will open and guests can come to the main event on Friday, Dec. 2, from 4 p.m. until 3 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 3, from noon to 3 a.m., and Sunday, Dec. 4, from noon to midnight. The Wharf Miami is located at 114 SW North River Drive. Participating talent include award-winning mural artist Jason Naylor, who has collaborated with renowned brands like Coach and has been written about by DailyMail, BuzzFeed and Hypebeast, and L.A.-based painter Allison Bamcat, who has participated in renowned festivals and tours including the “Support Your Local Artist Tour” and “Wide Open Walls.”

The exhibition will feature digital and physical art exhibitions, water performances, interactive branded installations throughout the venue, live DJs, a full bar, food collaborations, a special food truck menus with online special food items from celebrity foodies, a jewelry pop-up, and more. Participating artists include Allison Bamcat, Jason Naylor, Lenar, a.k.a Vollut, Mira, Kevin Rosa, a.k.a. Slumpy Kev, Balloonski, JC Rivera, Keith Paciello, Cash Monet, Oliga, Alex Pearlman, Santlov, and more.

 

The Art Plug Powerhouse was founded by Marcel Katz in 2018 as a platform for creatives to showcase all forms of art. Katz is a Miami-based conceptual artist, digital creator, painter, art director, agent, curator, dot connector and artrepreneur in both the physical and digital art space. Lauren is a New York-based creator and TV personality whose work focuses around the culinary arts and street art.

Named by USA Today’s 10Best as one of Miami’s best nightlife destinations, The Wharf Miami has been a staple entertainment hotspot located along the city’s historic river, minutes away from bustling Brickell and Downtown. Spanning 30,000 square feet, the open-air venue attracts thousands of Miami locals and visitors of all ages every weekend to enjoy handmade cocktails and culinary creations from its several bars and food vendors, lounge seating and dining areas along the water, and a laid-back fun atmosphere.
