The first-ever Miami Vice Week is keeping the ’80s party going all week long

The first-ever Miami Vice Week (Sept. 9–14, 2025) kept the party going with its 41st Miami Vice Annual Reunion Opening Night Party at the World Erotic Art Museum on Sept. 10 — and it was pure ’80s Miami excess: neon lights, art deco vibes, and plenty of Vice flair.

Stealing the spotlight, Emmy Award winner Edward James Olmos (Lt. Martin Castillo) made a dramatic entrance, escorted by two police officers as he shouted the legendary line, “Freeze… Miami Vice!” Olmos reunited with co-star Penelope Ann Miller, reunion founder Derek Hedlund, and superfans from around the globe for an unforgettable night that also debuted the world’s largest Miami Vice memorabilia exhibit.

Inside, the brand-new Miami Vice: The Museum (through October 31st) showcased Don Johnson’s pistols and badges, Versace looks, rare behind-the-scenes photos, and iconic props straight from the series. Between cocktails and live music, Olmos opened up about his time on the show and how he wasn’t immediately embraced by fans, but how it was a great experience and helped his career: “People didn’t like me because Don and Phillip were the stars, and people didn’t know me, and I didn’t laugh; I was very serious. But it was beautiful. I won multiple awards.”

With secrets spilling, never-before-seen memorabilia on display, and fans mingling shoulder-to-shoulder with their ‘80s TV idols, the Miami Vice Annual Reunion proved one thing: 41 years later, Miami Vice is still the hottest ticket in town.
