Smorgasburg Miami’s UbeFest Returns: Guest Vendors, Live Music & Miami’s First Open-Air Kamayan Feast

Smorgasburg

Smorgasburg Miami’s beloved purple celebration is back and bigger than ever. After a successful debut in 2023, UbeFest 2.0 returns November 29 and 30 for a weekend spotlighting Filipino food, music, art and community. Co-hosted once again with events platform Cross Cultures founded by Filipino-born and -raised journalist and culinary consultant Cheryl Tiu, this year’s festival expands with live performances, new guest vendors and Miami’s first open-air Kamayan Feast.

From vibrant desserts and savory bites to artisanal goods and family-friendly activities, UbeFest 2.0 continues Smorgasburg Miami’s tradition of bringing global flavors into an accessible, open-air setting.

UbeFest 2.0 will welcome Filipino and AAPI guest vendors from Miami, Orlando, and New York each serving ube-inspired specials like halo-halo, ube tres leches cake, ube macapuno cupcakes, ube ice cream, Filipino classics like lumpia, pork BBQ, isaw, pancit, and specialty merchandise. Guest vendor highlights include:

Throughout the weekend, guests will find a variety of activations.

Saturday’s programming brings a lively mix of sound and culture including live music from Indie-rock/R&B group Buko Boys, a Miami favorite with a strong local following, who will perform throughout the afternoon and evening; as well as an open-for-all karaoke session.

On Sunday, the celebration continues with the city’s first open-air Kamayan Feast, presented as part of the No Reservations chef-incubator program by Humans of the Kitchen, offering Miami a chance to connect with Filipino food culture in its most celebratory form. The immersive communal meal will be a collaboration between Sili Miami chefs Leicel Ros and Nancy Dominguez, joined by chef Reiji Yoshizawa (Elyu Omakase) and chef Oliver Lustado, each bringing their own creative lens.

Guests will gather around long tables lined with banana leaves for a large-format, family-style Filipino feast eaten by hand (gloves provided).

The experience is priced at $75 per person (plus 20% gratuity), inclusive of a welcome drink and six Filipino dishes. Limited tickets available for purchase HERE. In the afternoon, Afro-Filipina artist Omilani Alarcón will treat the audience to her signature neo-soul/ hip-hop performances.
