Smorgasburg Miami, Miami’s largest outdoor-food market, is thrilled to announce the return of its Asian Street Food Festival in celebration of Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month on May 24-26. Hosted in partnership with lifestyle journalist and culinary consultant Cheryl Tiu of Cross Cultures, the third annual event will bring guest vendors from various Asian cultures, activities, live entertainment and more to the Wynwood hotspot.

The street food festival will transform Smorgasburg Miami into the ultimate celebration of culture with Asian and Pacific Islander guest vendors from across the region serving cuisines from Vietnam, Japan, the Philippines, Myanmar, Korea, China, and the Pacific Islands, among others. Guests can expect Filipino lechon, Burmese chicken curry, regional Chinese dumplings, Hawaiian BBQ, and the opportunity to learn to make Korean kimchi, to name a few. Smorgasburg’s existing vendors will also have food and drink specials for the weekend.

The free, open-to-the public event will also offer a variety of family-friendly interactive activities and live entertainment throughout the weekend. Activities and entertainment include arts & crafts such as bamboo fan painting and Kintsugi, which is the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold. Miami Bonsai Specialist will be on-site for interactive bonsai classes and tree trimming. Live entertainment will include fire dancers as well as hula dancers and Tahitian drums, which guests are invited to join on stage.
