On Friday May 26th, Saturday May 27th, Sunday May 28th, Smorgasburg Miami, Miami’s largest outdoor-food market will transform into an Asian outdoor street food market to celebrate AAPI Month. Smorgasburg Miami will host their annual celebration of AAPI month in collaboration with Michelin Bib Gourmand recipient Ani Meinhold of Phuc Yea and lifestyle journalist, food consultant, Cheryl Tiu of Cross Cultures. The weekend celebrations will honor Asian & Pacific Islander culture and art with live performances, activities and of course street food and desserts from countries like India, Burma, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, China, and more. Resembling an outdoor Asian street-food market, Smorgasburg Miami will be decorated with red lanterns, paper umbrellas, origami cranes, and Indian ornaments.
We are so excited to bring an authentic Aloha Polynesian performance with Hulu dancers, Fire Warrior dance and Hawaiian Ukulele music by Polynesian Proud Production. There will also be calligraphy and art classes for kids and adults by Ms Dans Chinese, and cooking demonstrations by Smorgasburg Miami vendor, Chou:Tu and food personality Wok Star Eleanor Hoh. See full Event Schedule below.
On the culinary side, our own vendors will showcase special dishes highlighting different Asian cuisines that will only be available during this event! We will also be hosting guest vendors from South Florida and beyond including, Yen’s Kitchen, Kaminari Ramen, Palm Beach Meats, Ahmay’s Cuisine, Sushi by Chef Norlan, Meatless in Miami, Lutong Pinoy, Phuc Yea and Salamat Cookies flying in from Indianapolis.
Smorgasburg Miami operates every Friday from 5:30-10:30pm on 1100 Lincoln Road, Saturday from 1-9pm & Sunday from 1-8pm on 2600 NW 2nd Avenue, right next to the Wynwood Walls.
