Paws Patio™ Food Fest To Return To InterContinental Miami

It’s no surprise to dog lovers that Newsweek recently crowned Miami’s downtown luxury hotel,  InterContinental Miami as the Best Pet-Friendly Hotel in the USA.  Known for rolling out the red carpet for furry guests and their human companions with everything from pet-friendly perks like custom bandanas, comfy pet beds and bespoke pet food to special rates like the Pets and Points program, that offer up extra IHG points to guests who book using the code; the InterContinental hotel group prides itself on its pet friendly bona fides, and InterContinental Miami is perhaps one of the best examples of it.

Additionally, the hotel’s Bayside Terrace is transformed into a “petworking” event, Paws Patio ™, every Wednesday evening from 5PM to 7PM (weather permitting).  The open-air soiree is free and open to the public with water bowls for all the four-legged attendees; while adults can enjoy Dirty Dog Martinis, Mutt Mules and other libations from the cash bar.

But no event is more anticipated than the annual Paws Patio™  Food Fest, which returns to the hotel on Saturday, April 12th for the fourth year.  Here, doggies and their human companions can enjoy puppy playdates, treat samples and more paw-some surprises. This year’s “Pawty,’ hosted by a special pup partner – Funky Moet – will begin at 2PM and includes a live DJ spinning beats, photo opps, a complimentary swag bag and commemorative photo, and savory pup treats from local vendors such as YumPup, Raw Instincts and Moon Dog Barkery. For the humans, cocktails and delectable bites will be available for purchase during the festival. Attendance is free for humans and $22 per pup. Tickets are now live and available through Eventbrite and can be purchased – HERE.

Get ready, pups! From now until Saturday, March 22, all four-legged friends can enjoy 50% off their tickets. No code needed – visit Eventbrite and treat yourself (and your human) to an unforgettable time.

As more and more people consider pets part of the family, the hospitality industry is taking heed.  The pet friendly hotel market has increased from $3.66 billion in 2023 to $4.1 billion in 2024 with future projections of upwards of $6 billion forecast for 2028. Roch Dog, the world’s first dog friendly certification process ranks hotels around the world  with detailed descriptions on amenities, proximity to parks and more, has given InterContinental Miami a coveted A+ rating.

On top of that, InterContinental Miami can provide pet-sitting and walking referrals while providing plenty of suggestions on pet-friendly outings for hotel guests. The iconic hotel, which is home to mySpa, TripAdvisor’s top-rated spa in Miami, has recently undergone a $40 million renovation of its guest rooms, concierge level lounge and pool deck with new bayfront luxury cabanas available for rental for hotel guests.
