A new night at the museum exclusively for adults (21+) is coming your way. nightLAB is an adults-only science adventure launching at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami on Thursday, January 25. During nightLAB, you’ll expand your senses, engage with new sounds in the Frost Planetarium, and unleash your curiosity with hands-on science interactions.

This quarterly series takes place on select Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and each event has its own theme, activations, and special Frost Planetarium experience. With the entire museum open for exploration, you’re in for a memorable night!

The launch event on Thursday, January 25, features ::BLUE::, an out-of-this-world, immersive audiovisual experience created by Miami-based electronic musician Danny Daze. ::BLUE:: is a fusion of artistry and technology that draws inspiration from Daze’s new album. The experience embarks on an inter-dimensional odyssey, departing from Earth, the “BluePlanet,” in search of interconnected influences.

Throughout the night guests can also enjoy cocktails and munchies from the Space Bar, make moves on the plasma dance floor with a DJ, and take part in mind-expanding interactions that explore the science of light with museum educators. To round off the evening you’ll get to take part in a creative experience by the immersive art space Superblue Miami, and a virtual reality headset experience by Miami Dade College’s Miami Animation and Gaming International Complex (MAGIC).

Connect with friends and get ready to enjoy science socially during nightLAB.
