Miami To Do

Miami’s Most Exciting New Openings

Fall is Miami’s real new year for new openings. Summer quiets down, leases get signed, and by October the city starts filling up with new restaurants, bars, hotels and venues. Here’s what’s on our radar right now — from a Venezuelan rotisserie in MiMo to Tokyo-style pizza on South Beach. We’ll keep updating this list as opening dates get confirmed.

The most exciting new openings in Miami for fall 2026: Teo Teo’s Venezuelan rotisserie in MiMo, Anako’s Filipino kitchen in Little River, Nicola Siervo’s Mercante on the Miami River, La Sponda’s waterfront Italian in Coconut Grove — plus the AIRE open-air nightclub in Edgewater and the $100M Royal Palm rebirth on South Beach. All 21 openings, below.

New restaurants in Miami

Teo Teo

Fall 2026 · MiMo (Biscayne Boulevard)

All we know is the team — and that’s enough. The people behind Caracas Bakery are opening a Venezuelan rotisserie right next door on Biscayne Boulevard. The wrapped window says “neighborhood rotisserie” and “fall 2026.” Consider us there on day one.

Anako

October · Little River (NE 2nd Avenue)

Miami needs more exciting Filipino food, and the team behind this one ran Sili, the 1-800-Lucky vendor we were fans of. Details are still thin, but their Instagram bio says October — and the address, on Little River’s NE 2nd Avenue near No Seasons and the new Taquiza, is one of the best eating streets in the city right now.

Bureka ventanita

October · South Beach

Fresh off Miami’s first cookie ventanita comes another first: a bureka ventanita from one of the original Broken Shaker founders. Alongside the namesake burekas, expect chocolate babka slushies, soft serve, fruit and citrus fizzes, and coffee. Strong post-beach lunch candidate.

Kush

October · Wynwood (reopening)

Not a new spot, but one of the most ambitious revamps we’ve ever seen. Kush remodeled the entire building into a mixed-use development with housing for hospitality workers, a cocktail bar, a tattoo studio, and local art throughout. The frita burger returns, along with hits from former Kush concepts like the Jewban sandwich from Stephen’s. The return is bigger than the restaurant: Matt Kuscher’s new 7,500-square-foot Kush Korner mixes the restaurant with 10 workforce studios for hospitality pros, a cocktail bar, and a tattoo studio — plus 25+ works from 20 artists, including a larger-than-life Walter Mercado mural.

Royale Pizza Napoletana

October · South Beach

Miami’s first Tokyo-style pizza spot, with the chef from Tokyo’s Savoy pizzeria involved. About 65 seats, no reservations, counter service — seven pizzas, two pastas, and a couple of mains on the menu.

Genghis Cohen

Late 2026 · Sunset Harbour

The LA kitschy classic is bringing Chinese-American group-dinner energy to Sunset Harbour — a neighborhood that could use exactly that.

Ukiyo

October · Lincoln Road

A 7,431-square-foot conveyor belt sushi restaurant on Lincoln Road.

Zebra Club

October · South Beach (Townhouse Hotel)

Partners from Café la Trova, Medium Cool, and Sweet Liberty are behind this celebratory room: crystal chandeliers, red semi-circular banquettes, a marble-topped bar, and a martini cart. The menu promises “global influences with a distinct Miami perspective.”

Tanya Jo’s

October · Overtown

The team behind House of Wings in Overtown is trading wings for Philly cheesesteaks — while staying in Overtown. Finally, a proper cheesesteak within walking distance of the courthouse lunch circuit.

Luca Osteria

Fall 2026 · North Beach

The team behind Luca Osteria is opening a second Italian spot in North Beach. No menu details yet, but we’re hoping the patate fritte make the trip across the causeway.

Bar Fideo

Late 2026 · Little River

The Magie team does Spanish tapas: Riojas, Txakolina, plenty of vermouth — and a caviar-topped cheesecake we’ve already got our eye on. It sits right next door to Magie, so plan a bar hop.

Uchiba

November 2026 · Brickell

The Uchi team breaks into Brickell with yakitori, bao, and sashimi in a 3,500-square-foot space. Brickell could always use more concepts that don’t spend the whole budget on dry ice and sparklers.

Honey Veil

Late 2026 · Sunset Harbour

The South Miami matcha truck turned cafe brings its honey-whip matcha lattes to Sunset Harbour — expect lines on day one. There’s also a “coming soon” sign at Aventura Mall.

Mercante

Fall 2026 · Miami River (404 NW North River Drive)

Nicola Siervo — the name behind Bang, Joia, Quattro, and WALL — is back with Mercante, a chic Italian Riviera-inspired restaurant and piano bar on the Miami River. He’s partnered with Roman Jones of House Kiki, the group behind Kiki on the River and Habibi. Expect fresh pastas, crudo, Italian street food at the bar, meatball and beverage pairings, an all-Italian wine list, and live piano in a Venetian-palazzo dining room. The terrazza overlooks the river, and there’s a 150-foot dock if you’d rather arrive by boat. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, with brunch on weekends.

Pho Nam

Open now · Downtown

The team behind Downtown’s beloved Tam Tam (a Bib Gourmand winner) just opened Pho Nam a few blocks away — a casual, old-school Saigon noodle shop with four noodle soups, a spicy bun bo hue, banh xeo packed with shrimp, “Viet pizza” banh trang nuong, and avocado mousse for dessert. Word is out and they’re booked up, but walk-ins are welcome.

La Sponda

Open now · Coconut Grove (4 Grove Isle Dr)

Gioia Hospitality Group — the team behind Daniel’s Miami — opened La Sponda on September 19, an elegant waterfront Italian restaurant at Vita at Grove Isle overlooking Biscayne Bay. Chef Danny Ganem’s menu runs on handmade pasta, crudo, antipasti, and live-fire seafood, with a wine list built on

Barolo, Barbaresco, Tuscan reds, and Etna wines. Dinner Wednesday through Sunday, with lunch and brunch coming in November.

Manoli

Open now · Coconut Grove

MasterChef Greece alum Emmanouil “Manoli” Aslanoglou brings the Greek islands to Main Highway: 140 seats of whitewashed, coastal dining built around shared plates — saganaki, crispy feta with thyme honey, gyro tacos with Black Angus ribeye — plus a

tableside dessert trolley and a cocktail program inspired by the Greek tragedians.

Taquiza

Open now · Little River

After its beloved North Beach original closed, Taquiza reopened in Little River — and the tacos are as essential as ever. The totopo

LITO

Open now · Wynwood (137 NW 26th Street)

Southern European dining from partners Liz Mattos and Eduardo Antunes with chef Junior Santos. The menu roams Italy, France, Spain and the Mediterranean coast — tuna carpaccio, caserecce al limone, charred colossal prawns with ‘nduja butter, and gnocco fritto with Florida blue crab — in a room chasing the informality of a Southern European evening, where dinner turns into the rest of the night.

New bars & nightlife in Miami

Bar Shishi at RIVANI

Open now · Miami Beach (1691 Michigan Ave)

The h.wood Group — the team behind Delilah and The Nice Guy — just opened Bar Shishi, a 12-seat Tokyo-inspired cocktail hideaway tucked inside RIVANI’s $125 million redevelopment near Lincoln Road. Certified Japanese Ice Master Kevin Lee runs the bar program: hand-carved diamond ice, kakigori-style shaved ice, Japanese cobbler shaking, and cocktail throwing. Drinks include the Guava Kakigori (rum, guava, yuzu, shiso over shaved ice) and a Hakushu 12 Old Fashioned over a hand-carved ice diamond. The food runs Japanese-leaning — hamachi crudo, a Lion Crunch Roll, chicken karaage, A5 wagyu katsu in milk bread, and caviar service. Anderson .Paak’s musical director Eddie McDonald curated 100+ records spanning deep house, funk, soul, disco, and Latin. Find it on the third floor at 1691 Michigan Ave.

AIRE

Open now · Edgewater (111 NE 20th St)

Boho Miami closed after six years, and AIRE opened in its place on September 24 — an open-air nightclub and lounge from owner Jorge Moreno and Club Space creator Louis Puig, built around deep, rhythmic, soulful house. The rebrand brought a new bar, a repositioned DJ booth, a revamped look, and an updated menu. Steve Lawler’s Pendulum party hit opening weekend; from September 30 it runs Wednesday through Saturday, 9 PM to 4 AM.

Little River Distillery

Opens October 16 · Little River (73 NW 71st St)

Miami has always been a rum city — it just never had its own rum house. Little River Distillery fixes that: the city’s first rum distillery you can actually visit, tour, and taste, six years in the making inside a 22,000-square-foot Little River space. The 45-minute tour runs from barrels to blending ($45, or $65 with two extra cocktails), and then there’s The Founders Bar — a hidden speakeasy pouring house rums in classics and signatures like El Pastelito, a clarified guava-and-cream-cheese daiquiri. The rums age two to eight years in ex-bourbon, sherry, and cognac casks with no added sugar, and the flagship five-year took Double Gold at the 2026 SIP Awards. VIP launch October 15; doors open October 16.
