This November, Miami Beach will welcome a new culinary gem as Toronto-based Big Hug Hospitality—known for Toronto’s beloved Sunny’s Chinese and flagship MIMI Chinese—introduces the highly acclaimed MIMI Chinese to South Beach. Marking the group’s first international expansion, this venture is spearheaded by Culinary Director David Schwartz, the recipient of the 2023 Michelin Guide Young Chef Award, alongside Executive Chef Braden Chong. MIMI Chinese aims to enrich Miami’s dining landscape by blending modern interpretations of traditional Chinese cuisine with a strong emphasis on quality. Oro

Golden Era Hospitality Group, announces the debut of Oro. The luxury rooftop venues will be located on Miami’s prominent Lincoln Road in the heart of South Beach. Opening this fall, the restaurant will be Golden Era Hospitality Group’s latest addition to its growing dining portfolio. Taking inspiration from stunning, metropolitan cities around the world, Oro was developed around the idea of creating an elevated joint dining and entertainment venue in the center of South Beach.

 

Habibi Miami

Habibi Miami, a lush French Moroccan supper club, will debut on a waterfront spot on the Miami River in late summer. Hospitality big Roman Jones tapped Ikam Rebaia to lead the project, with Aris Nanos overseeing operations. They have come together to create a destination that evokes a royal escape to the French Moroccan Riviera while drawing on vibrant bites, cocktails, and an enchanting nighttime scene.

 

Aviv

Aviv, a new restaurant by acclaimed Chef Michael Solomonov and Restaurateur Steve Cook, of their five-time James Beard Award-winning hospitality group, CookNSolo.
