Miami To Do

Miami’s Museum Mile Passport: 5 Museums, 1 Stamp Book, Real Perks

Someone finally turned the museum crawl into a game.

Five institutions across Downtown Miami and Watson Island — Jungle Island, the Freedom Tower, Miami Children’s Museum, Frost Science, and the Museum of Miami — just launched the Museum Mile Passport. Pick up a physical passport at any of them, collect a stamp per visit, and the stamps unlock real perks.

Three stamps in, the deals start: discounts and perks at museum gift shops, restaurants, and studios along the corridor, including Elia on the River, Maison Yoga, and Cafe Bastille downtown. Each spot sets its own offer, so confirm before you go.

Finish all five and you’re in the running for a free museum membership. Post a photo of your completed passport on Instagram with #MuseumMilePassportMIA, tag all five museums, and you’re entered. One passport per family.

It runs now through October 31, stamps in any order, at your own pace. If you’ve been meaning to take the kids to Frost Science or finally step inside the Freedom Tower, this is your nudge.

The five stops

  • Jungle Island — Watson Island’s wildlife park turned eco-adventure playground. Go for the up-close animal encounters — lemurs, parrots, capybaras — plus the aerial adventure courses if the kids (or you) want to climb.
  • Freedom Tower — Downtown’s 1925 Mediterranean Revival landmark, the Cuban-exile memorial now run by Miami Dade College as an exhibition space. Go for the history in the walls and the rotating art and culture shows inside.
  • Miami Children’s Museum — Watson Island’s hands-on museum built for kids. Go if you’ve got little ones: it’s all interactive exhibits, and it’s an easy full morning out.
  • Frost Science — the aquarium, planetarium, and science museum in Museum Park. Go for the three-level aquarium and the planetarium shows — still one of the best family days in the city.
  • Museum of Miami — Downtown’s museum of Miami history. Go to actually learn the city’s story, from the early days through the waves that built modern Miami.

Perks vary by location and are subject to availability — confirm with each venue before redeeming.
