Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau Welcomes New Restaurants and Sponsors to 13-Year-Old Dining Program that Attracts Food Lovers Far and Near
The organizers of the 13th Annual Miami Spice Restaurant Program, theGreater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), today announced the return of exclusive dining deals on three-course lunch and dinner menus at more than 170 area restaurants, including45 new participants, from Aug. 1 to Sept. 30, 2014. This year, the program introduces the newMiami Spice Mash-Ups, a culinary celebration of Miami’s diverse food scene.
The Miami Spice program kicks off August 1 with dining deals that include lunch priced at $23 per person and dinner priced at $39 per person. Prices include an appetizer, entrée and dessert, and exclude alcohol, tax, tip and service charges.
In an exciting first for the program, a series of exclusive Miami Spice Mash-Up dinners kicked off in June, with the final event planned in September. These curated collaborations, hosted by some of the area’s best-known chefs, offer an intimate and interactive experience.

Talbert III, CDME, president and CEO of the GMCVB. “This year we pay homage to our rich heritage and eclectic food by creating The Miami Spice Mash-Ups. These unique dining experiences feature chef collaborations bringing together diverse culinary styles and flavors into one dining experience.”

The Miami Spice website offers photos of restaurants and featured dishes, with search functions for cuisine type, area/neighborhood, lunch/dinner and more.
This year, Miami Spice fans have the opportunity to win special prices through a social media promotion by posting and sharing photos of Miami Spice meals on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter using #MiamiSpice. Foodies will have the chance to win one of eight weekly $100 prepaid gift cards or the grand prize of a hotel stay and VIP dining experience when posting their Miami Spice meal photos.
