The FIFA World Cup 2026™ Miami Host Committee, in collaboration with the FIFA Volunteer program, has completed delivering in-person, role-specific training to prepare thousands of volunteers for tournament operations.
This milestone reflects an intentional approach to volunteer engagement, one that integrates operational readiness with destination awareness. As part of the training, volunteers were introduced to Miami’s tourism ecosystem, the economic impact of travel, and their role in shaping the visitor experience at scale.
“The role-specific training phase reflects a deliberate approach to preparing volunteers to represent Miami at a global level. Every interaction a visitor has during an event of this scale contributes to how the destination is experienced and remembered. By combining operational training with tourism awareness, we are equipping volunteers to deliver a consistent, high-quality visitor experience across the city,” said Vanessa Williams Brooks, Director of the Volunteer Program, FIFA World Cup 2026TM Miami Host Committee.
Elevating the visitor experience
The program also introduced a structured framework centered on presence, preparedness, and positivity, alongside guidance for guest engagement, and responsiveness. These standards establish a consistent foundation for how volunteers interact with visitors across multiple touchpoints throughout the tournament.
An intentional model for volunteer engagement
As Miami prepares to welcome a global audience, this approach reinforces the city’s readiness for tournament operations and provides a structured volunteer engagement strategy. By integrating support guidelines with destination awareness, the program contributes to a cohesive and high-quality visitor experience across the region, reinforcing Miami’s role as a world-class Host City.
