Wynwood Walls, one of the most celebrated destinations for cutting-edge creativity and a leader in the street art movement is pleased to announce their official 2024 Art Week theme, Street Art Icons, celebrating the legendary and vibrant impact of the famed works at Wynwood Walls. Unveiling during Art Week, Wynwood Walls will be adorned with new murals, sculptures and glass works by eight international artists Askew One (New Zealand); Bublegum (Spain); Carlos Mare (New York City); Digital DOES (The Netherlands); ELLE Street Art (New York City); Logan Hicks (New York City); Simon Berger (Switzerland) and Sophie Mess (United Kingdom).

“We are honored to welcome this cohort of talented artists, who will infuse our ever-evolving walls with their unique vision and style,” says Jessica Goldman Srebnick, who has led the curatorial vision of Wynwood Walls for 12 of its 15 years. “What was once a desolate neighborhood is now one that resembles an evolving yet masterful painting with the Wynwood Walls at its epicenter. In many ways the Wynwood Walls is recognized as a laboratory for artistic expression and an experience for visitors that encourages a sense of discovery, inspiration, and joy. If you want to continuously see the best curated contemporary street art, then you need to walk through the gates of the Wynwood Walls and experience the beautifully intertwined relationship between art and community.”

The 2024 Art Week will celebrate the culmination of 15 years of artistic expression with the launch of Wynwood Walls and Assouline’s latest book – Street Art Icons. A retrospective of never before seen images, a chronicle of the transformation of a neighborhood, essays from some of street arts most iconic figures, and the power of art and its influence on the human spirit. Visitors can attend a live discussion between esteemed contemporary art dealer Jeffrey Deitch and Goldman Srebnick and purchase a signed copy at the book signing event on November 29th.

“Wynwood Walls has transformed into a global destination for world-class art, rooted in encouraging accessibility, creativity and community. Our newest book, Street Art Icons, truly captures the spirit of this transformation, honoring the artists, their stories, their extraordinary talents and the creative movement that continues to inspire and connect people across the world,” Goldman Srebnick says.

Exclusive artist events will also occur throughout the week, including artist appearances, film screenings, the grand opening of an expanded Street Art Experience, an exclusive book signing with Jessica Goldman Srebnick, sculpture unveilings and more.
