Mercante: Nicola Siervo’s Italian Riviera Restaurant and Piano Bar Opens on the Miami River This Fall

Nicola Siervo is back. The hospitality legend behind Bang, Joia, Quattro, and WALL is opening Mercante, a chic Italian Riviera-inspired restaurant and piano bar on the Miami River, in late 2026.

He’s partnered with Roman Jones of House Kiki — the group behind Kiki on the River and Habibi — and the concept is pure coastal Italy: fresh pastas, crudo, Italian street food at the bar, meatball and beverage pairings, house-made breads, desserts and gelato, an all-Italian wine list, and Italian-inspired craft cocktails.

The vibes are part of the program: curated soundtracks, karaoke, live bands, and jazzy piano. The design (Nikolai Design, led by House Kiki’s Mark Lehmkuhl) runs turquoise, citrus, and vibrant green — a whitewashed ivy-covered exterior, striped awnings, a vintage turquoise Fiat 500 out front, Zellige tile stairs, a brass-and-marble bar and lounge, a Venetian-palazzo main dining room with crystal chandeliers, and a vine-covered pergola terrazza over the river.

175 seats between the dining room and terrazza, a private dockside table for 20, and a 150-foot dock for boat arrivals. Open seven days for lunch and dinner, brunch Saturday and Sunday. Find it at 404 NW North River Drive — mercantemiami.com, @mercantemiami.
