Bucket Listers, the media experience brand known for making every day an adventure, and Mattel, Inc. (NASDAQ: MAT), a leading global toy company and owner of one of the strongest portfolios of children’s and family entertainment franchises in the world, continue to make waves with the Malibu Barbie Cafe. Following the viral success of their New York, Chicago, and Mall of America® locations, sights are now set on Miami. Fans of the most iconic fashion dolls in history will soon be able to experience Barbie® like never before.

In collaboration with Mattel, the project is spearheaded by Miami native and Bucket Listers President of Experiences, Derek Berry (the mastermind also behind nostalgic pop-up phenomena Saved by the Max, The Golden Girls Kitchen, and The Peach Pit). The family-friendly pop-up restaurant will be inspired by the groovy beachside energy of 1970s Malibu, a time of carefree summer days when Malibu Barbie was first introduced to the world.

Bucket Listers is honored to continue partnering with Mattel, bringing Malibu Barbie Cafe down to Miami after sold-out runs across the country,” says Berry. “Barbie  has proven to be one of history’s ultimate icons, it means so much to bring exclusive experiences like this back to my hometown. I cannot wait for the city to see what we have in store.”

“We are delighted to announce the opening of Malibu Barbie Café in Miami, bringing a truly unique dining experience that celebrates the Barbie brand and all she represents to the city.” said Julie Freeland, Senior Director of Location Based Entertainment at Mattel. “At Mattel we are always looking for exciting, new ways to bring the Barbie experience to life. From the décor to the menu, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate the iconic Barbie style.”

Opening February 9th in Miami’s popular Wynwood neighborhood (350 NW 24th Street), the Malibu Barbie Cafe will allow guests to experience the ultimate form of Barbiecore dining. Malibu Barbie Cafe will be a fast-casual restaurant emphasizing all day friendly fare, delicious desserts, and a variety of drinks. The pop-up will also come complete with exclusive merchandise and a variety of signature interactive activities for fans to play.

Every reservation will include a reserved seat and guaranteed window of time to dine, choice of

entree, side dish of their choice, and a cake pop. Tickets for the restaurant will be available exclusively at Bucket Listers, join the waitlist and receive first notification of tickets going on sale.
