There’s only one place in Miami where you can experience old-school planetarium laser light visuals fused with music from some of the greatest artists of our time–the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science.
Laser Evenings, held monthly in the museum’s Frost Planetarium, combine music and laser technology to create stunning visual spectacles. Whether you’re a local or a tourist, these events provide an extraordinary night through sound and light.
The Frost Planetarium features a 67-foot dome, a 16-million-color, 8K projection system and surround sound. This advanced technology allows for a fun, immersive experience, in a completely unique setting. During Laser Evenings, the dome transforms into a canvas for vibrant, dancing laser beams that synchronize with the music, creating a truly multisensory experience.
The music selection for Laser Evenings is diverse and the lineup changes every month with several shows presented during each event. From classic rock bands like Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin to modern pop icons like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, there’s something for everyone. Each show is carefully curated to match the music’s rhythm and mood with stunning laser visuals. You could go back in time and relive the ’90s with That ’90s Laser Show, sing along to songs from popular Disney films, party with Bad Bunny, or dance along to K-pop.
In addition to music-themed shows, Frost Science offers unique thematic laser experiences like the Halloween Spooktacular show, a thrilling to celebrate the spooky season, and the Holiday Magic show, which will have you transported to a winter wonderland.
Each Laser Evening ticket includes a pair of laser glasses, which take viewing the shows to another level. These diffraction glasses have special lenses that split light into its individual spectrum of colors, resulting in some trippy visual effects. Come early or stay late to enjoy snacks and beverages available for purchase.
