Free skating at the Miami Beach Bandshell, with rentals available on-site. The lowest-cost, lowest-commitment way to spend a Labor Day evening outside.
Labor Day Run
A low-key 5K/10K/13.1 out of Playita in Key Biscayne, across from the Miami Marine Stadium, on the Saturday of the long weekend. There’s no gun, no corrals, just small wave starts around 7:30–8:30 a.m. and a waterfront route; walkers are as welcome as runners. Every finisher gets a shirt, medal, and towel, which makes it a reasonable way to earn Sunday’s brunch.
Chance the Rapper
