We’ve all heard about Silver Mirror, the Korean skincare-inspired facial bar that has taken over NYC and DC, and is now making its way to Miami, with its first location recently popping up in Brickell. As a skincare enthusiast, I am always on the lookout for the latest and greatest in the world of beauty, and have tried everything from acid peels, microdermabrasions, and most recently, microneedling. When I heard about Silver Mirror, a facial bar that takes inspiration from Korean skincare and offers affordable, high-quality services, I knew I had to give it a try.

The facial spa became famous for its 9-step Signature Facial, which is done in 30 minutes and is at an affordable price point at $99. The facial was designed for efficiency and results, but convenient enough to have done during your lunch break. They also provide facial memberships starting at $79 a month, making a commitment to a monthly facial even easier. Some of their other facials focus on specific concerns like lymphatic drainage and skin brightening. Beyond facials, they offer technologically advanced add-on services like dermaplaning, microneedling, hydradermabrasion, AHA peels, decompression massages, neck firming and lift and contouring services.

I had read about Silver Mirror in various beauty blogs and heard rave reviews from friends who had visited their locations in New York City and Washington DC. When they finally opened their first location in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, I jumped at the opportunity to book a facial.

From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the sleek and modern design of the space. I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who assisted me with my digital check-in process, which asked me a range of skincare questions to help customize my facial.

I then met my esthetician Melissa who introduced herself warmly and showed me back to the treatment area. The facial bar boasts a distinctive design: nine sophisticated stations, each separated by glistening drapes, providing a sense of privacy without feeling confined. It enabled me to enjoy my own personal space while ensuring smooth and unhindered transitions upon arrival and departure.

With my esthetician, I had an honest conversation about my skincare concerns – which included just about everything: from congestion, enlarged pores, and hormonal acne; to dullness, skin texture and tone issues; to dark spots, discoloration and hyperpigmentation from acne scars and years of sun damage; and finally, to skin aging prevention, and fine lines and skin elasticity issues I was starting to see.

She inquired about all the essential aspects, making the experience feel reminiscent of a skincare therapy session in the most positive sense. She was genuinely invested in addressing my concerns and ensuring my comfort while providing the highest quality service possible. She was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive, taking the time to listen to my skincare concerns and recommend a personalized treatment plan. Then, without delay, she began her work.

As I settled in for my 9-step Signature Facial, I felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. The facial was designed for efficiency and results, and included a full range of techniques, including double cleansing, exfoliation, steam, extractions, a customized mask, and more. Each step was carefully executed, and I could feel the benefits with each passing minute.

Once I finished my facial in 30 minutes, my skin felt completely transformed. It was soft, smooth, radiant, and I could see a noticeable difference in my complexion.

My esthetician gave me honest, digestible advice about how to maintain a skincare routine and how to look for effective skincare products that won’t drain my bank account. Another standout feature of Silver Mirror is their commitment to using high-quality, medical-grade skincare products. The facial bar is the only one of their kind that sells medical grade skincare products, typically only found in dermatologist offices. My esthetician recommended several products for me based on my specific skincare concerns.

After my facial, I was able to walk around confidently without my usual heavy foundation and concealer – a first for me. And the results have lasted. Days later I can’t believe how good my skin looks from a 30 minute facial. When I come back next month (yes, I’ve already rebooked), I’m going to try out the 50-minute Anti-Aging facial.

Upon researching the company further, I was surprised to find out that the company has local roots. Silver Mirror’s Co-Founder Matt Maroone grew up in South Florida and it was his longtime dream to bring this facial bar concept to his hometown.

I’m happy to say that I finally met my skincare match with Silver Mirror. The expert staff are truly the best of the best. They live and breathe skincare, and are passionate about changing their clients’ skin for the better. The entire experience, from the service I received as I walked through the door, to the consultation with my incredible Esthetician Melissa, her honesty and genuine interest in helping me achieve my skincare goals, the expert care she gave to my skin, and the advice she gave me after, changed my opinion about the facial bar, and my skin, maybe forever.
