Day of the Dead Fiesta at Chotto Matte

On Saturday, October 31stChotto Matte will be transformed into a traditional shrine to those who have passed, and will offer a two-for-one “haunted hour” all night long featuring La Adelita Tequila. The special menu includes festive libations like Deadly Spice made with La Adelita Tequila Blanco, passion fruit puree, St Germain, agave, lime juice, jalapeño, cilantro leaves, pinch of tajin ($14) and Shiso BOO-zy La Adelita Tequila Blanco, pineapple juice, yuzu lemon, agave, egg white, basil leaves, shiso leaves, edible flower, wasabi ($16), Vampire Ritual La Adelita Tequila Reposado, Chambord Liqueur, passion fruit puree, lime juice, agave, filthy cherries, lemon twist ($18), and Soul Taker La Adelita Tequila Reposado, Del Maguey Mezcal Vida, demerara syrup, orange bitters, Angostura bitters, orange peel ($14), as well as Soul of the Dead Dover sole tempura, ama su ponzu, red onion salsa ($45, serves two). South American-themed performers and DJs will keep the celebration going all night.

Yelloween: Fiery Moon Hosted by The Deck at Island Gardens

This Halloween, The Deck at Island Gardens is fusing the energy and excitement that the venue is known for in an extravagant dinner under the Fiery Moon in partnership with Veuve Clicquot. On Saturday, October 31st, guests can enjoy a waterfront dinner with a show, including live action fire performers, instrumental acts and sultry sounds by DJ Alex Fever.

The menu, curated by Executive Chef Joseph Bonativa will include Halloween specials such as Roasted Blood Clams with Saffron Salsa Verde, Chorizo, Grilled Sourdough Bread ($27) and Pumpkin Tortellini with Chestnuts, Sage Beurre Noisette ($38). Dessert specials include Fiery Moon Cheesecake and a special  Yelloween version of The Deck’s best-selling Chocolate Nemesis Cake.

Veuve Clicquot will keep the champagne flowing all night with two dinner show seatings: 7 to 9:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. to closing. Guests will also be able to enjoy Veuve Clicquot specials from 5 to 7pm. Guests can kick the party up a notch with socially distanced champagne parade presentations brought to their table or cabana.

The night will officially launch The Deck’s new Sunset Hour featuring Veuve Clicquot specials, inviting guests to enjoy $16 glasses and $100 bottles from 5 to 7 p.m. These Sunset Specials as well as exciting new seafood tower pairings will be offered every Thursday and Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.

The Deck at Island Gardens is committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment for guests by keeping in line with all Covid-19 safety measures. Masks will be required to enter and performers will be distanced from any seated guests. The step and repeat and other photo backdrops will be monitored to prevent any crowding.

Get in the Halloween spirit at Toro Toro, Richard Sandoval’s acclaimed Pan-Latin steakhouse inside the InterContinental Miami, with festive cocktails. This year, the bar team at the restaurant has created the Zombie Apocalypse ($18) to celebrate the holiday, available starting on Friday, October 23.
