This October, get ready to celebrate the brave and selfless individuals who make Miami-Dade County a better place to live. The highly anticipated Hometown Heroes Parade & Festival is returning to Tropical Park, bringing the community together for a day filled with gratitude, celebration, and fun.
Presented by District 8 Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins, this free, family-friendly event is a heartfelt “thank you” to the unsung heroes who go above and beyond in service to our community. Now in its third year, the Hometown Heroes Parade is more than just an event—it’s a tradition. The festival will honor police officers, firefighters, healthcare workers, and countless others whose courage and dedication keep our neighborhoods safe and strong.
Whether you’ve been touched by the kindness of a first responder or feel inspired by the everyday acts of service that often go unnoticed, this festival offers an opportunity to show your appreciation. With tributes, live music, entertainment, and more, this is a celebration that truly represents the best of Miami-Dade.
Who’s Attending
Thousands of Miami-Dade’s finest—including police officers, firefighters, healthcare workers, and other community heroes—will be at the center of the event. Local families will have the chance to meet and thank those who keep our county running smoothly. Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins will also be in attendance, alongside other county officials, to share their gratitude and support.
