On Saturday, August 23, the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science (Frost Science) will host its first-ever Family FUNraiser, a special event supporting the museum’s education, accessibility, and outreach initiatives. Each ticket also helps provide a STEM-filled backpack to Lotus House Women’s Shelter, a local nonprofit that serves women and children experiencing homelessness. These backpacks, packed with hands-on learning tools and free admission passes, extend the impact of the day far beyond the museum’s walls.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Level 5 of Frost Science will transform into a lively hub of discovery, filled with live science shows, interactive activity zones, and tasty refreshments to keep everyone fueled for the fun.
The experience is designed with something for every interest. Kids can launch rockets, code their names into glowing lights, and build solar-powered critters that scuttle under the sun. Budding paleontologists can dig for fossils, while future marine biologists explore how sharks sense the world around them. Across the Tech Zone, Space Zone, Marine Science Zone, and Paleo Zone, guests will find a steady stream of experiments, games, and creative challenges. For a sweet finale, families can even make ice cream in a can. All tickets also include full museum access so you can enjoy Frost Science’s exhibitions, Aquarium and the Frost Planetarium.
