Take an epic adventure around the cosmos during the next volume of nightLAB on Thursday, July 18, at the Phillip and Patricia Frost Science Museum of Science in Downtown Miami. This signature event is part of the museum’s adults-only (21+) series.
nightLAB: Space Odyssey will immerse you in out-of-this-world experiences, from galactic activations to space-themed drinks and snacks.
You can explore the entire museum from 7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., including the new special exhibition, Journey to Space, where you can discover if you’ve got what it takes to survive in space. Guests will also hear from space chef and former NASA food scientist, Dr. Vickie Kloeris, and go further into the universe with Dr. James R. Webb, a world-renowned astrophysicist from the Florida International University College of Arts, Sciences & Education.
Special programming inside the epic Frost Planetarium will transport you beyond the solar system with laser shows and live performances by space rock band, Skyview.
Throughout the night you can put your astronaut skills to the test with a freeze-dried food tasting featuring local women-owned business OrbiFood, a pop-up planetarium experience in the aquarium, and activations from local partners including the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s Growing Beyond Earth project.
Before you go, don’t forget to moonwalk on the plasma dance floor during guest DJ AYDAMN’s set. Connect with friends and get ready to enjoy science socially during this special nightLAB.
