This spring, magic takes root at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden as the annual “Fairies in the Garden” event returns May 9 through June 15, 2025. The popular family attraction transforms the renowned botanical garden into an enchanted landscape where visitors of all ages can participate in a whimsical scavenger hunt.
Guests will explore ten distinct locations throughout the garden’s lush grounds, following clues and solving playful riddles left by mischievous fairy residents. The self-guided adventure leads participants to a hidden Fairy Village, a meticulously crafted miniature world nestled among the tropical flora.
The scavenger hunt operates daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. throughout the event’s run, with general admission to the garden included in participation. Upon completing their magical quest, visitors can return their finished clue sheets to the Garden Shop to receive a limited-edition fairy pin commemorating their journey.
Participants will also be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a Fairchild Family Membership, providing year-round access to the garden and its various programs and events.

Self-Guided Fairy-Themed Scavenger Hunt
Visitors receive a special map upon entry that guides them through the garden’s pathways. The hunt is designed to be accessible for all ages, with clues that encourage observation and appreciation of the garden’s natural beauty while following the fairy trail.
Ten Enchanted Locations
Each of the ten designated areas features unique fairy-inspired installations where visitors can find clues and learn about fairy folklore from around the world. Informational plaques combine botanical education with whimsical fairy traditions, creating an experience that’s both magical and educational.
Whimsical Fairy Village
The culmination of the scavenger hunt leads to the expansive Fairy Village, where dozens of handcrafted fairy houses are displayed among native plants and flowers. This miniature community features intricate details like tiny furniture, working water features, and sustainable materials gathered from the garden itself.
Collectible Fairy Pin
Each participant who completes the scavenger hunt receives an exclusive, limited-edition collectible pin featuring a unique fairy design created specifically for this year’s event. These pins have become coveted collectors’ items for returning visitors.
Membership Drawing
All participants are automatically entered to win a Family Membership to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, which includes unlimited admission for two adults and all children in the household for a full year, plus discounts on classes, programs, and special events.
