Art Miami, which year-over-year has been a central component of Miami Art Week and played a major role in establishing the city of Miami as a cultural hub, is returning to Miami Art Week, along with sister fair CONTEXT Art Miami. An invitation-only VIP Preview on Tuesday, December 3rd from 11 am to 4 pm then open to the public from 4 pm and runs through Sunday, December 8th, 2024. Miami’s hometown and longest-running international and contemporary art fair, Art Miami will continue to showcase the most significant artworks of the 20th and 21st centuries, presented by a selection of the world’s most respected galleries. CONTEXT Art Miami will provide the ultimate platform for mid-career, emerging, and cutting-edge artists presented by new and established galleries. The combination of Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami will feature over 215 galleries from 17 countries and will provide established and budding collectors the opportunity to acquire a vast array of iconic works from world-renowned artists, as well as groundbreaking works from emerging artists, at the prestigious Fairs. Aqua Art Miami will kick off its 18th edition at the Aqua Hotel with a VIP Preview on Wednesday, December 4th before opening to the public December 5-8, 2024. The energetic preview has become the destination for influential collectors and art professionals, many of whom migrate from Aqua’s sister fairs, Art Miami and CONTEXT conveniently nestled between the Venetian Causeway and the MacArthur Causeways, and Art Basel Miami Beach, which is located just a few blocks away. Studio Lemercier joins teamLab, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, James Turrell, and Es Devlin in Superblue Miami’s ongoing exhibition Every Wall is a Door with a multisensory experience that further delves into human perception and our relationship to the natural world.
Faena Art Presents Works by Artists Nicholas Galanin, Lyra Drake & More to be Announced!

During Miami Art Week 2024, Faena Art, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is thrilled to present work by cross-disciplinary Native Alaskan artist Nicholas Galanin. His monumental, site-specific piece on the sands of Faena Beach, Seletega (run, see if people are coming/corre a ver si viene gente), will posit questions related to our collective responsibility in creating a responsible future, asking us to reflect on the balance of our interconnectedness.
In addition to Galanin’s work, which spans ninety feet in length and thirty feet in height, Faena Art will present multidisciplinary artist Lyra Drake’s Faith in a Finite World, a work investigating the agency of “faith” in human belief through audiences’ engagement in dialogue with a divine feminine oracle at Faena Hotel Cathedral. The voice of this piece was created by Drake using a custom AI consciousness. Faena Art will also present a site-specific commissioned piece for the 2024 edition of No Vacancy, a juried art competition that supports and celebrates mainly local artists, in partnership with the City of Miami Beach, and will announce further programming ahead of Miami Art Week 2024.

Wynwood Walls is the largest outdoor street art museum in the world and serves as the epicenter of creativity for Miami’s arts district and is often referred to as “The Olympics of Street Art.” Curated by Jessica Goldman Srebnick, the museum continues to elevate the genre of street art with a rotating collection of murals & sculptures by more than 120 artists representing over 25 countries. Unveiling during Art Week, the Wynwood Walls will be adorned with new murals, sculptures and glass works by eight international artists Askew One (New Zealand); Bublegum (Spain); Carlos Mare (New York City); Digital DOES (The Netherlands); ELLE Street Art (New York City); Logan Hicks (New York City); Simon Berger (Switzerland) and Sophie Mess (United Kingdom).
