Fontainebleau Miami Beach, the iconic luxury resort destination on 20 oceanfront acres in the heart of Miami Beach, will mark its 70th anniversary in December 2024 with a property-wide celebration featuring one-of-a-kind offers, activities, and retrospective events that will guide guests through seven decades of excellence in luxury hospitality.

“When Fontainebleau Miami Beach opened in 1954, it defined the concept of luxury resorts for travelers within the United States. Architect Morris Lapidus’ groundbreaking design was instantly iconic and remains a testament to the sophistication that has been part of our ethos for seven decades,” says Fontainebleau Development Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Soffer. “It is our privilege to welcome guests to our 70th anniversary celebration – a history filled with milestones and memories made alongside the world’s most recognized entertainers and tastemakers.

“As we look forward to the next decade, we will continue to build upon our legacy and further our contributions to the future of hospitality in the United States.”

Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s 70th anniversary celebration includes an exclusive hotel package: a $70-per-night discount (two-night stay minimum) with a one-time $70 dining credit for room bookings between December 12 and 20; and a special commemorative gift and platinum coin memento for guests reserving a suite.

Anniversary events and activities taking place from December 12 through 20 include:

  • Bleau Bar Photobooth: Guests can capture timeless memories with a vintage-inspired pop-up photo booth set in the resort’s famed Bleau Bar.
  • Archive Showcase and Self-Guided Tour – A curated display of memorabilia from the Fontainebleau Miami Beach archives will be featured in the Chateau Lobby, and a self- guided tour invites guests to explore 70 years of milestones and memorable moments.
  • Jack Daniel’s x Fontainebleau Miami Beach – The two iconic brands come together for a special cocktail showcase and exclusive pairing dinner celebrating Fontainebleau Miami Beach’s 70th anniversary and the legacy of Jack Daniel’s whiskey – a favorite of resort staple Frank Sinatra.

“To reach this 70-year milestone is both rare and exceptional, and it reflects the timeless appeal of Fontainebleau Miami Beach,” says Fontainebleau Development Chief Operating Officer Philip Goldfarb. “Whether they are frequent visitors or first-timers, our guests are still wowed by the Fontainebleau experience and the unmatched style.”

Fontainebleau Miami Beach made its debut in 1954 and has gradually expanded its footprint throughout the decades while raising the bar for the luxury hospitality industry. The 70th anniversary in December comes as the resort reaches another milestone – the debut of the all- new Coastal Convention Center, a five-story, 45,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility catering to both business and leisure events. The center features divisible ballrooms, innovative meeting spaces, and a rooftop terrace with panoramic ocean views.
