Bondi Sushi, the popular New York City-based sushi concept known for its fresh, affordable menu items, is set to open its new and first location outside of New York in Miami Beach on May 11th [959 West Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139]. Currently operating six locations in New York City, owners David Hess, Aiden Carty and Justin Hauser are excited to expand into a new market, with additional locations in Midtown and Brickell opening in the coming months.

The South Beach location will serve many of its existing offerings including appetizers like the Caviar Toast and Uni Toast; Crispy Rice with the choice of Spicy Tuna, Lobster Yuzu and Truffle Avocado; its 12 piece omakase and 16 piece delivery combo boxes with nigiri pieces such as Sea Scallop with Lime and Pink Sea Salt; Tuna with Tofu Sauce, Chu Toro with Kizami Wasabi and Caviar, Spicy Crab and Seared A5 Wagyu and handrolls like Toro Scallion, Seared Unagi Avocado, Salmon Ikura, Eggplant Miso and many others. It will also offer new and exclusive food and beverage offerings, including the Luxe Box a to-go set featuring 8 pieces of nigiri including Striped Jack, Chutoro with Kizami Wasabi and Caviar, King Salmon and Lean Tuna, 8 piece maki including negitori and lobster, choice of three piece crispy rice, and Chirashi Salad with salmon, tuna, hamachi, and ikura with a karashi dressing.
The new cocktail menu is curated by Bondi’s sister concept, Michelin award winning omakase restaurant noda and cocktail bar Shinji’s. Cocktails include the Seafoam with Citrus Sake, Cocchi Americano, Blue Spirulina, Yuzu, and Seafoam; Honey Dew with Shochu, Midori, Cucumber, Shiso, Lime, and Brut Sparkling Wine; Black Velvet, Bondi’s take on an espresso martini with Sake, Cynar, Sweet Vermouth, Coffee, Okinawa sugar; Herb Garden with Sake, Ume Shisho, Lemon Juice, Basil Syrup, and Seltzer Water; and Lavender Haze with Sake, Lemon, Butterfly Pea, and Lavender.
DESIGN
Bondi’s largest store to date, the 1,650 square foot space is anchored by a 24-seat, maple back sushi bar, custom mushroom wood walls and wood paneling with velvet details. The 400 square foot, 16 seat patio will feature custom banquette seating, a nod to the group’s recent cocktail bar opening in New York, Shinji’s, and Italian parasols for inclement weather.
