The Betsy Rosa Beer – named for The Betsy’s two Golden Retriever “CEOs” (Canine Executive Officers) Betsy and Rosa – is served exclusively at The Betsy, and is based on traditional Austrian and German beer styles. Now everyone from home brewers and beer geeks to those who simply love a cold one, can meet the creators of the lager at a MASTER CLASS to be held on St. Patrick’s Day – Tuesday, March 17, 2020. From 6PM-7:30PM, Todd H. Space, Director of Education from Miami’s Master Brewer Academy, will take beer lovers on a journey for the taste buds. Starting at the preparation of the malt, through the fermentation and filtration process, to bottling and delivery, the guided tour of process will highlight the beer’s notes of lemon zest, fresh baked bread and Allspice, with hints of honey and herbal hops. While sampling the libation, guests will enjoy a variety of snacks. The event will be held at The Carlton Café and admission to the MASTER CLASS is $32 (includes bottomless Betsy Rosa beer and nibbles). Following the lesson in the art of brewing, attendees are invited to continue celebrating St. Patty’s Day with pizza at The Alley.
