Exclusive dinner hosted by Chef Michael Pirolo Unites 2016 Nominees

Talk about an affair to remember. On Wednesday, March 23, 2016 Chef Michael Pirolo (a James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: South) will host a not-to-be-missed collaborative dinner with a star-studded list of his fellow South Florida nominees. Taking place at Bazi, Pirolo’s acclaimed new modern Asian restaurant on Miami Beach, the dinner – priced at $100 per person (excluding beverage, tax and gratuity) will feature a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres, followed by a multi-course dinner with each course executed by a different chef.

“We’re all grateful to be recognized by the James Beard Foundation,” says Pirolo, whose work at Macchialina has drawn massive praise and paved the way for his semifinalist nod. “This dinner is an opportunity for diners to see what makes these chefs rising stars.”  A portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the James Beard Foundation, whose “mission is to celebrate, nurture, and honor America’s diverse culinary heritage through programs that educate and inspire.”  More at http://www.jamesbeard.org/about

Joining Pirolo in the kitchen that evening will be chefs Brad Kilgore (Alter); Jose Mendin (Pubbelly); Giorgio Rapicavoli (Eating House/Glass & Vine) and Deme Lomas (NIU Kitchen).  Immediately following the dinner the chefs will elbow up at Bazi’s beautiful downstairs bar where dinner guests can meet and mingle with them. The bar will be open to the general public for this after-party.

Seats for the dinner are limited and must be booked in advance.  Cocktail reception starts promptly at 7PM. Bazi is located at The Marlin Hotel, 1200 Collins Avenue on Miami Beach.
