Don’t call it a comeback! What’s old is new again. Area 31, the seafood mecca located on the 16th floor of Downtown Miami’s Kimpton EPIC Hotel, understands that sometimes you just want to let your hair down and enjoy some good ole classics. OnThursday, July 21st, the restaurant will launch its new TBT Happy Hour with a bash featuring Beat it Taittinger Champagne,classic cocktails, to the sounds of the best 80’s and 90’s hits.
Every Thursday at 5PM, the restaurant will feature its #TBT Happy Hour showcasing classic drinks, classic tunes and a classic view of the Miami skyline from Area 31’s beautiful terrace. The new TBT specials will showcase Beat It Happy Hour, highlighting specially priced bottles of Taittinger Champagne by the hour, beginning at 5PM for $50, 6PM for $60, etc., until 11PM. Cocktail fanatics need not fret! Area 31 is reviving 80’s and 90’s cocktails such as Cosmos, Sex on the Beach, Mojitos and other classic concoctions at special prices and perfectly crafted by Lead Bartender Brian Reep. The restaurant’s cigar friendly terrace will also offer cigar aficionados Brugal rum and cigar pairing specials. And what Happy Hour is complete without some good grooves? Guests will travel back in time with the best hits of the 80’s and 90’s, spun by resident DJ Kristian Caro.
On Thursday, July 21st, the open-to-the-public kickoff event will also feature $7 bites such as Meatballs with Kaffir lime, yogurt and watercress; Cod Fritters with herb tofu dip and Florida Seafood Ceviche Tostada, created by Area 31’s Executive Chef Wolfgang Birk.
